Sizes and capacity

Three sizes cover most dispensing: 30cc (1 oz), 45cc (1.5 oz) and 60cc (2 oz). The 30cc and 45cc share a 28-400 neck, so one cap covers both. That means one line item instead of two, with no risk of a mismatched pairing reaching the bench. The 60cc takes a 32-400 neck and needs its own cap.

All three are natural high-density polyethylene. The translucent finish shows the fill level without opening the container. That is why plastic medicine bottles in this style are used where contents get checked at a glance.

Round or square

The 30cc and 60cc are round. The 45cc is square, and the difference is not cosmetic. Square bodies sit flush against each other, so a case holds more units in the same footprint, and a shelf holds more cases. Square also gives four flat label panels instead of one curved wrap. That is worth having where a label carries patient details, a barcode and a warning.

What is a packer bottle?

A packer bottle is a wide mouth container. It is specified by capacity and neck finish, not by what goes inside it. The wide opening fills and empties without a funnel, so the same bottle holds tablets, capsules, powders or liquid medication. Buyers looking for empty pill bottles or plastic medicine bottles are usually looking for this style.

Which cap fits which bottle?

The 30cc and 45cc bottles share a 28-400 neck, so one cap covers both. The 60cc takes a 32-400 neck. Each neck is available with a foam liner or a foil seal: 28-400 Child-Resistant Cap, Foil Seal and 32-400 Child-Resistant Cap, Foil Seal. Caps are sold separately.

Are these medicine bottles child-resistant?

Child resistance is certified on the package system: the bottle and its matched closure, tested together. The combination was independently tested by Unitec to 16 CFR 1700.15. The bottle on its own is not child-resistant.

What are they made of?

These bottles are natural high-density polyethylene (HDPE), independently tested to FDA food-contact standards and free of BPA, phthalates and latex. The translucent finish shows the fill level without opening the container.

How are packer bottles sold?

Packer bottles are sold by the full case: 30cc at 2,000, 45cc at 1,500 and 60cc at 1,000. Caps ship 2,000 per case. One case of 30cc bottles and one case of 28-400 caps pair exactly, with nothing left over. For a tamper-evident seal, choose a foil seal cap. The Handheld Induction Sealer works with foil seal caps. For measured liquid doses, pair the bottles with graduated medicine cups.
