Frequently asked questions
Here you’ll find the answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding our end-to-end supply chain and medical waste management.
Q. Who is Med Supply Lab?
Med Supply Lab is a pharmacy supplies company. We stock HDPE packer bottles, child-resistant closures, graduated medicine cups and drug screens, and we offer waste management. Inventory is held in California and Georgia, so orders ship from whichever site is closer to you.
Q. How can Med Supply Lab offer such a large inventory?
We hold stock in two distribution centers, in California and Georgia, and plan inventory against contracted volume rather than forecasts. Stocking varies by item — each product page states where that one ships from.
Q. Are your prices competitive?
We price against the packaging distribution market and sit consistently below it. Tell us what you order and how often, and we will quote it.
Q. Will I sacrifice customer service in exchange for the great price?
A price of the product is not worth anything if our clients can’t communicate with us about their needs and desires effectively. We always go beyond expectations; it’s very personal to our company.
Q. What is your standard shipping method?
We ship FedEx ground by default, but you have options if you need it faster. Freight is billed at cost.
Q. What is the online customer portal?
Our private customer portal is a micro web store made specifically for your company with the products and pricing negotiated explicitly for your company.
Q. What are payment terms?
Orders placed on the site are paid by card at checkout. Payment terms are available to accounts on an annual purchase agreement, agreed as part of the contract.
Q. Can you supply products you don't currently list?
If your volume is significant, we can discuss items outside the current range. Start with Volume Pricing and tell us what you need.
Q. How often do you increase prices?
We hold pricing for as long as input costs allow, and contracted accounts hear about a change before it takes effect, not after.
Q. How does your waste management service work? Is it available nationwide?
We have partnered with one of the largest companies that provides pick-up and disposable services for medical and pharma bio-hazard material and waste. Our services are available nationwide though, in some remote areas, a third-party carrier collects the waste for transfer.
Q. What does child-resistant testing actually cover?
The Poison Prevention Packaging Act sets the US requirements for child-resistant packaging. Testing is performed on a complete package — a specific bottle with a specific closure, tested together — never on a bottle alone. Our bottle and closure combinations are independently tested to 16 CFR 1700.15 / 1700.20 and ISO 8317, and both liner systems are tested.
