Choosing a size
The 6 × 9 in bag fits a standard specimen cup such as a 4 oz or 60 mL container. Step up to 8 × 10 in for a larger cup or two specimens together. The 12 × 15 in bag takes bigger containers, and the 4 × 6 in bag is for tubes and small containers.
Closure, pouch and checkboxes
One pouch takes the specimen and a separate pouch keeps the requisition apart from it. The zip closure reseals, and a tear line opens the bag quickly when resealing is not needed. Checkboxes on the bag record whether the specimen is frozen, refrigerated or at room temperature. The bags are clear, 1.8 mil low-density polyethylene.
