Buying guideWhere the dip card wins, and which panel count to choose

What a dip card is

The specimen is collected in a standard cup, and the card is dipped into it to the fill line and laid flat to read. Two pieces instead of one, which is the trade: a dip card needs a collection cup the integrated formats have built in, and in exchange it is the cheapest way to run a screen.

For a program running high volume against a fixed budget, that difference compounds faster than any other choice on this site.

Which panel count you need

Single-analyte and 3-panel cards exist only in this format. If you are testing for one substance — a return-to-work protocol, a single-drug program, a confirmation of one result — this is the only page that has them.

Above that the range runs to 12 panels across thirty configurations. Each product page carries the full analyte list and cutoff chart.

Regulatory status

Twenty-one of the thirty are CLIA-waived. Nine are For Forensic Use Only. The split does not follow panel count — check the tier on the product page for the exact card you are ordering.
