What it is
A breathable, non-stick dressing soaked in a water-soluble gel that draws heat out of the skin. It is shaped to the face, with vent holes so the patient can see and breathe while it is on.
How it is used
Open the pouch and lay the mask over a facial burn, lining up the openings. It cools the face and comes off without sticking at the next change. Single use.
Choosing the right one
This is the only face-shaped piece in the burn range. For a burn on the neck or scalp, use a flat dressing such as 8 x 8 in (1296).
