What it is
A porous paper tape with a medical adhesive that holds to skin but lifts off cleanly. Air passes through the paper, so skin can breathe under it. It tears by hand. Not made with natural rubber latex.
How it is used
Tear off a strip, lay it across the edge of the dressing and press it onto clean, dry skin. Peel it back low and slow, toward the wound. Good for frequent dressing changes and for skin that marks easily.
Choosing the right one
The 1/2 in width suits fingers, IV lines and small dressings. Other sizes: 1 in x 10 yd (3552), 2 in x 10 yd (3553) or 3 in x 10 yd (3554). For a stronger hold, see cloth tape. To see the skin underneath, see clear tape.
