Details
What it is
A thick, high-absorbency pad for heavy-draining wounds: a soft non-woven cover over a fluffy fill that soaks up and spreads fluid, sealed at the edges to cut leaks. These are the pads often called ABD pads. Each sterile pad is in its own peel-down pouch. Not made with natural rubber latex.
How it is used
Place the pad over the primary dressing on a heavily draining wound and hold it with tape or a roll bandage. Change it when it is saturated. Single use.
Choosing the right one
Pick by wound size. Others: 5 x 9 in sterile (3501), 8 x 7.5 in sterile (3502), 5 x 9 in non-sterile bulk (3511), 8 x 10 in non-sterile bulk (3513).
